How we operate
As the Good Companions have been providing Care for 17 year’s customers are usually referred or introduced to us by recommendation.
All Customers are assured that they will be treated with respect and dignity according to their individual needs and wishes.
Anyone who enquires regarding our services will be contacted by our Care Manager and will receive an information pack about the home and the services we offer.
Once an assessment is completed an Individual Care Management Plan is tailored and agreed for the individual Customer and provides the basis on which The Good Companions care service is delivered.
Each Customer is allocated a Senior Carer who is responsible for monitoring and co-coordinating their care requirements.
A Key worker is also allocated to each customer; their responsibilities include assisting the customer with personal shopping and ensuring they have everything they need.
Regular reviews with customers and their relatives are held to ensure that all care needs and requirements are being met.
Our service is ideal whether care is required on a medium, long term or for respite periods.
Potential customers have the opportunity if they wish to visit and spend time in the home prior to confirming the booking.
Our Carers
Great Care is taken in the selection of our carers.
All must have a professional, compassionate attitude and each must have a desire to work in an area where their understanding will enhance the quality of life for their customers.
All carers have references carefully checked by us—we conduct a personal interview and a background check through the Criminal records Bureau (CRB) prior to employment.
The Process
- A Care Manager will arrange to meet you or your family and complete a Care Needs Assessment
- You may wish to arrange a visit to the home prior to confirming the booking
- The booking will be confirmed in writing
- Ongoing monitoring and assessment will be carried out
We strive to continually provide a high quality service and welcome the opportunities to improve upon the standards of service provided
